Light the Lake. Charleston Parks Conservancy hosts this event. Bring the entire family and enjoy holiday cookie decorating with Publix, a festive photo booth, and letters to Santa station. Stay bright all around Colonial Lake with lighting from the wonderland sponsor AV Connections. Say cheese at the festive photo booth presented by The Urban Electric Co. Don't forget to wear your best (or worst!) Christmas sweater for the ugly sweater contest. Plus, the Charleston Model Yacht Club will have model boats sailing on Colonial Lake. 


 Everyone is invited to bring a new, unwrapped toy to fill Santa's carriage with donations for Toys for Tots. The evening is topped off with the lighting of the tree in the center of Colonial Lake by Mayor John Tecklenburg and a performance by the Meeting Street Watoto Charleston Ensemble.

Daniel Island Holiday Festival. This coming weekend plan on visiting Daniel Island for the Annual Holiday Festival, which includes shopping, entertainment, and tons of kids' activities. There will be over 100 vendors to get that shopping done!


Parking is available along Seven Farms Drive and Island Park Drive. Should the event need to be rescheduled due to severe weather conditions, the event will take place on Sunday, December 8th from 1 to 6 PM (note different time).

Charleston Holiday Festival of Lights. Located at James Island County Park is a three-mile tour which can be viewed from the comfort of your car. You'll see thousands of holiday lights along the way. You can also plan on stopping at the shops, take a train ride, enjoy the roasting pits, and explore Santa's village. Fun for the WHOLE FAMILY and naturally, the young at heart.

Location: James Island County Park, 871 Riverland Drive, Charleston SC.

Dates: Sunday – Thursday from 5:30 - 10 PM and Friday and Saturday from 5:30 - 11 PM.


Charleston Holiday Parade of Boats. Held annually at the Charleston Harbor, participants will decorate their boats while spectators can view and enjoy them in the parade traveling by Mt. Pleasant and going from the Cooper River through the Charleston Harbor. There will be a fireworks display over the harbor at the end.
