The South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs will offer to shred your sensitive documents in a timely manner. Attendees are limited to (3) three boxes (copy paper box or smaller) or (3) three bags (kitchen trash bag or smaller) per vehicle. There is no need to remove binder clips, paper clips, staples or rubber bands prior to shredding.

Photography 101: Birds

South Carolina Aquarium, 100 Aquarium Wharf, Charleston, SC

In this three-hour introductory class, you will learn the basics of digital photography with an emphasis on photographing wildlife (specifically birds). You’ll learn the parts of the camera, how to use the settings to help isolate your subject from the background and how to freeze a subject in motion. We’ll also learn how to control the exposure to get the best image for a variety of wildlife subjects. We will end class by showing off one of our resident birds for the students to try out what they learned. Participants must bring their own camera.
