We have assisted many clients in securing a home on Daniel Island. The island has a variety of neighborhood choices, and the slower-paced lifestyle is definitely a big enticement. Let’s take a closer look at the neighborhoods of Daniel Island and the downtown area.

Downtown Daniel Island – You will love the convenience and the pedestrian-friendly lifestyle found in downtown Daniel Island. Oh, and of course, all the shops, restaurants and entertainment. It is a typical urban environment with a small-town vibe. Some people opt to live in the downtown area as there are a variety of condominium choices, and they prefer the walkability factor.

Codner’s Ferry Park – This was one of Daniel Island’s FIRST custom built home neighborhoods. It borders the Beresford Creek and Bellinger Island, a nature preserve on the edge of this neighborhood. A very serene and peaceful setting.

Barfield Park – Set amongst large trees and marshes, Barfield Park is a nature lovers dream! This is a very walkable community which offers a pool at Pierce Park, walking trails that lead to Wando river, a picnic gazebo and many opportunities to commune with nature as it is surrounded by forest and marsh edges. You can choose between homes or townhomes.

Center Park – This neighborhood is at the heart of Daniel Island and attracts people of all ages. It is surrounded by lush landscape, play structures, and shared sitting areas. The architecture is typical of Lowcountry homes.

Cochran Park – Marsh views and quiet streets are what you will find in Cochran Park. Typical southern architecture located at the edge of the island on the end of Seven Farms Drive. It is within walking distance to all of the schools on Daniel Island as well as shopping and restaurants.

Etiwan Park – The Etiwan Park neighborhood was named after a Native American tribe that once inhabited the island. There is an ample 7-acre green space that is the center for community gathering events such as sports, concerts and more. It is also near churches, schools, and restaurants. Another community with great walkability features.

Pierce Park – Pierce Park is located in the center of the island and is close to all the schools and the Daniel Island Library. The homes overlook the marsh and the Wando River. This community has access to a swimming pool and a pavilion with a kitchen and fireplace.
