It starts with a DAY, which slowly turns into a LIFETIME. Yes, this place will capture your heart and make you rearrange the rest of your life in one Charleston Fun-Filled Day!

It begins with a stroll down King Street amid the trendy boutique shops and restaurants that are filled with serious foodies of all ages. The first stop is Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit for a delicious breakfast that offers grab and go award-winning biscuits, pimento cheese sandwiches, and a whole range of tasty treats.

For lunch, you might like to pop into Minero for some Mexican inspired flavor. Choose from tacos, burritos, and chef-created daily specials. You’ll also have the option of choosing craft cocktails, house-made margaritas, and a list of tequila and mezcal to round out your experience!

Fig is the place to go for dinner, but make sure your reservations were made far in advance, and that means it’s a great place!! If you can’t get a reservation, then you can sit at the bar and be served dinner on a walk-in basis and the same for the communal table. Share your meal with some other folks.

With all that eating you’ll want to walk some of it off. Well, Charleston is the city to do that. Starting with Rainbow Row. This area is where you’ll find many of the tourists taking selfies standing in front of these colorful houses that line the historic cobblestone roads. It is a must-see attraction when you’re in Charleston. It is a rich perspective on the historic nature of this beautiful city.

Another great place to stretch your legs is at Charleston Battery - Waterfront Park. Charleston Battery is located on the tip of the peninsula of the city. This area is a great place to walk in the shade and enjoy the natural beauty that the large oaks create and the water. Very relaxing and pleasant.

Charleston City Market is also a destination you should consider. It is a 200-year old brick market building that consists of shops and restaurants. There are OVER 100 Vendors in this market building. We guarantee that you will find something to take home in the way of a souvenir.

Now that you’ve walked to exhaustion, you might wish to sit down. How about taking a carriage ride? Palmetto Carriage Rides is the one to try as they are the leading company in Charleston. You can travel up to 35-minutes in a carriage while learning about the history, architecture, and people. Again, while relaxing in comfort!

The Magnolia Plantation is located a short 20-minute drive outside of downtown Charleston and is so worth it! You’ll get lost in the gardens there, and I’m sure you’ll want to return because there’s a lot more to see than just the gardens, as beautiful as they are. In fact, we wrote a separate blog about this special place – The Top Visited Charleston Plantation.
